What is Music?

"Sounds combined in such a way as to produce
beauty of form, harmony, and expression of motion."
- Google

Music is everywhere.  In the sounds we hear, in the rhythm of our hearts and even in the movements of the waves we admire on the edge of the beach.

Music for one person might be noise for another. Soothing sounds for one listener might be slow methodical torture for their neighbor.  Music comes in as many different forms as human personalities, making it possible for every person, on this earth, to experience an ethereal and dynamic expression of their own hearts.

Defining music in this blog is no more possible than describing color to a blind man.  The question of "what is music?" is answered when a choir of voices answers the question:  What is music to you...?

I'd love to hear from you!  In the comments section, answer the question from your heart.  Five expressive answers will be chosen to be featured on next month's blog.

Coming up next week ... adults are learning the piano too!

Music is the shorthand of emotion.
